Who We Are
Many years ago, my father, Lorenzo Martín, decided to open Joyel, a small jewelry store in the center of Madrid. It was 1962, and since then jewelry has slowly won me over.
Forty-seven years later, Joyel is a jewelry store specializing in gemstones that keeps growing, this time by taking the step onto the internet. I, Miguel Ángel, am a gemologist certified by the IGE (Spanish Gemological Institute) and the Autonomous University of Madrid, as well as a Diamond Specialist, also certified by the IGE.
My deep interest in jewelry, and especially in gemology, has taken me to many gem-exporting countries, giving me knowledge, experience and important contacts that I still keep today.
With all this, my colleagues Ricardo and Ana and I are able to offer our customers the knowledge they are looking for when they ask for advice on a piece: loyal customers who have learned to trust Joyel and its people, thanks to our principles of honesty and integrity.
In this new stage, we want to reach a wider audience through the internet and keep offering our services to anyone interested in the world of gemstones, and to anyone who appreciates the beauty of fine jewelry.
We are gemstone specialists, and we are proud to have one of the richest selections in all of Spain. Add to that the contacts made over 47 years, and we can find almost anything you ask us for.
